I started my career as an apprentice at the age of 16 straight out of secondary school. I always knew I wanted to do something creative and work with my hands, but I could have never guessed it would be in the vast world of jewellery making.
My first 2 years involved learning the basic skills any jeweller is required to know, like soldering, piercing, and polishing, after 2 years I left my apprenticeship to work in London for 1 year at a jewellery manufacturers which involved processes such as wax injection, mould making to in-house casting. We mostly worked with “bronze” (which was actually an alloy made from silver and brass), synthetic and semi precious stones.
I had slowly started to realise, I wanted to return to the world of precious metals and stones, which led me to work in a family run jewellers based in Marlow for 3 years. This was where I really found my love for the craft and could truly nurture my skills as a jeweller. My boss had an incredibly keen eye for accuracy which had thankfully rubbed off on me and from that point, everything I did had to be absolutely perfect, whether it was a simple chain repair, or making a diamond eternity band from a bar of platinum.
After 3 years I had figured I was ready to move on and bring together all the skills I picked up and refined across my 6 years. So here I am now in my own workshop, repairing, designing, and manufacturing fine jewellery, all to my perfect standards.

If you’ve had an idea of a piece but don’t quite know how to go about making that piece come to life, I am more than happy to go through a clear step-by-step process of how that can be done. From selecting the correct strength metal to a suitable setting for a stone. No piece is too big or too small.

Over the years, I have encountered all sorts of repairs and have done many thousands of times over, and I’ve seen plenty of bad repairs and good repairs, with this experience I know what is right and how to confidently approach any repair.
Whether it’s a chain repair, clasp replacement, ring resizing, reshanking, claw retipping, or just a polish and refinish, It can almost always be done.

I am fortunate enough to have worked with some lovely time pieces in the past and in doing so I have met some wonderful people who I believe are the most capable in the world of horology, so if you need a watch serviced or refurbished, I can arrange for it to be restored by a qualified professional. Work includes, but is not limited to, Rolex, Omega, Cartier and most Swiss timepieces.

The process of a full refurbishment: In order to properly restore the watch it must be disassembled in its entirety so that each component can be properly serviced (case, bracelet, glass, movement, stem etc.). The case and bracelet is restored using various buff sticks and wheels on the polishing motor to remove scratches and dings, whilst also retaining the original shape and profile. Once a smooth, even scratch-less surface finish is achieved it’s ready for its final polish and deep clean. Once cleaned and dried it’s reassembled making sure to lubricate seals and that everything is securely fitted as to maintain water resistance.

REPAIRS & RESTORATIONS
The process of reshanking a ring: Firstly you remove the old worn shank and create a piece of metal the same width and thickness as the thickest part on the shoulder, shape the metal to be the same size as the head of the ring and solder, shape up, file, and polish. Easy Peasy.
